My name is Simon.  I was born in in England, but grew up in New Zealand, and Greenstone, or "Pounamu" in Maori, is a precious stone found in New Zealand.

I founded Greenstone Fit during the 2020 covid pandemic. I had been a Personal Trainer working in gyms around London for almost twenty years by then, and had never even heard of online training. But when all the gyms and teaching venues suddenly closed,  the fitness industry had to find new ways of reaching people.

Online training wasn't new, but it hadn't developed into the powerful force it is has become. We can now Coach people online in every corner of the world, in all time zones, and train people we never could have reached beforehand.
